John McElligott has always had a passion for helping and improvingthe quality of life of others. As a Marine, he was employed as acombat engineer during 9/11. Specializing in demolitions, explosives,construction and engineering, he also served as a SAW (squadautomatic weapon) gunner and ultimately Squad leader. John washonorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. As Co Founder of Royal Square Development and CEO of the Squared Collective, John spearheaded technology, marketing, community engagement and investor relations as well as being a driving force in Business and Economic Development. Helping to growthe company from 4 employees to nearly 40 in 18 short months healso worked on the acquisition and development of more than 50properties in downtown York including but not limited to the $1,650,000 Bond Building project and most recently the $14,000,000Market Street Revitalization Project.

Previous to co-founding RSDC, John served as CEO and Founder oftwo tech startups and was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin Technology Partners, Techcelerator program, with his company beingthe only graduate from that cohort to receive investment funding.

Moataz El-Menshawy has 20 years of progressive experience in the quality field in various industries in addition to consulting and teaching at technical colleges in Ontario and British Columbia, Canada. He’s the founder and managing director of Think Quality First Consulting & Training Services Inc. – a consulting firm specializes in quality management systems development and implementation, Six Sigma and continuous improvement projects, statistical quality and core quality tools training and implementation.

His passion for quality and continuous improvement stems from multiple years of work experience in the quality field where he worked for various automotive, wind turbine, natural gas and injection moulding companies in Ontario and British Columbia, Canada.

In addition to his professional work experience, Moataz pursued his passion for teaching where he developed and delivered various courses at technical colleges between Ontario and British Columbia. He developed and delivered technical courses in statistical quality, core quality tools, statistical process control, process capabilities, Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt, and project management courses.

As a senior member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) since 2004, Moataz is one of their certified instructors developing and teaching various programs spanning from one-day workshops to multiple-weeks refresher courses; teaching the Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt (CSSYB), Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) and Certified Quality Inspector (CQI).

Moataz holds a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Alexandria University and a Master of Engineering degree in Engineering Management from the University of Ottawa. He is a Professional Engineer registered with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP), certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI). In addition to that, he holds various certifications from the American Society for Quality (ASQ); a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB), a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and a Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA).

Trevor Craney

Trevor Craney works for UTC Aerospace Systems, a division of United Technologies. Trevor is Associate Director, Statistics. He has taught numerous courses for ASQ and within UTC on topics of reliability, risk and statistics. Trevor currently serves as the Chair-Elect for the ASQ Reliability and Risk Division. He also serves ASQ as the Chair of the Society Examining Committee, and he is on the Board of Directors for RAMS.

Trevor is a lifetime member of the Society of Reliability Engineers, and a Senior Member of the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineering, where he is also serving as President-Elect for the Quality Control and Reliability Engineering Division.

Trevor is an ASQ Fellow, an ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), and an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). He also holds certification as a PMI Project Management Professional (PMP). He holds three Masters degrees: M.S. in Statistics from University of South Carolina, M.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from University of Florida, and M.S. in Reliability Engineering from University of Maryland.



William Troy

William J. Troy joined ASQ in 2014 following a 38-year U.S. Army career, from which he retired as Lieutenant General (three stars). His most recent position was director of U.S. Army Staff at the Pentagon. Troy served in Europe, the United States, Asia, and the Middle East. At ASQ, Troy directs the organization’s mission to advance quality and quality tools worldwide. His duties include ensuring the alignment of the strategies and goals established by ASQ’s board of directors. He also works with ASQ’s volunteer member leaders and represents ASQ as a board member of the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board, Exemplar Global, and the Baldridge Foundation.

Troy was director of the U.S. Army Staff from August 2010 until July 2013. He led 20,000 military staff and civilians, assisted in the oversight of a $5 billion budget, and ensured the integration and coordination of policies, plans, and decisions affecting the entire U.S. Army.

Prior to his tour as director, he served as the Commanding General, U.S. Army Alaska, where he was responsible for the combat readiness of 12,000 soldiers, and the welfare of 20,000 family members.

He has held a number of significant general officer positions on behalf of the U.S. military, including Chief of Staff for III Corps in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Troy was commissioned in the infantry from the United States Military Academy, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He received master’s degrees from the Naval Postgraduate School, and the Naval War College, and was a Senior Fellow at Harvard University’s Weatherhead Center for International Affairs.

He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Bronze Star, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Ranger Tab, Master Parachute Wings, the Distinguished Service Medal, and Commander in the French National Order of Merit.

Elmer Corbin serves as Global Delivery Excellence Executive, IBM Watson Health. In this role he is responsible for collaborating globally across IBM and with industry partners to bring together disparate and siloed assets to create breakthrough innovation that help our clients execute their strategy and succeed in their mission.

Throughout his 30-year career at IBM, he has served in a wide variety of major technical, business, and executive leadership roles, including leading a business unit of more than 700 employees responsible for the development and delivery of the BlueGene/L supercomputer and the core processor technology that helped all three of IBM's leading video game console clients revolutionize the home entertainment market. Prior to his current role, he was Director of Corporate Quality, where he led the enterprise transformation of IBM's global quality management system and created an innovative client experience analytics framework to provide insights on ways to improve the quality of the end-to-end experience clients have with IBM.
